A wonderful activity day in Fitzgerald!

The Fitzgerald Activity Day, held on Saturday, June 17th, was a wonderful event. Under sunny skies, residents, local organizations, and city staff gathered to share in food, yoga, games, and planning and visioning discussions about the neighborhood.

Hubert Massey shared his project to build a mural in the Ella Fitzgerald Park (which will be constructed later this summer). Residents shared their ideas for the artwork including core Fitzgerald community values such as family, children, community strength, community gardens, schools, open space, survival and activism.

Yoga was shared. Participants practiced under the trees, sun filtering in between the leaves.

Stay tuned for more neighborhood events and activities coming this summer. You can find these on the Events page. Please also find job postings and funding opportunities listed on the Resident Resources page.
